Eugènia Agustí

Visual artist and Serra Húnter Fellow, lecturer in the Artistic Processes and Publishing Section of the Department of Visual Arts and Design at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Barcelona.

I have always been interested in the codification of graphic language and exploring the correlations between colour and geometric abstraction, as well as examining the processes of printing in editable images and their technological deployment. Printmaking and artist publications that study the book form are always present in my work. Some of them have won awards in various competitions, notably Burgos City Council Printmaking Award, Calcografía Nacional «Young Artist Award», Carmen Azorena Award, José Caballero Engraving Competition Award, and Col·lecció Banc de Sabadell Arts Libris Award. Others have been part of exhibitions in different contexts and countries.

Member of «13L Artist's Books» and researcher at «IMARTE: Research Group on Artistic Processes and New Technologies», where we analyze the shifts that digital technologies exert on artistic productions as generators of new languages that traverse art, science and technology.
